As the 2007-2008 school year comes to an end, SGA is proud to have accomplished several of the main goals that we initiated in the beginning of the spring semester. The annual Spring Gala event was a success, as well as the Pulse Awards that awarded those outstanding clubs, organizations, and student leaders that significantly benefited the campus community. The first ever SGA Powderpuff Football Tournament experienced a great turnout and raised money for the Variety Organization. SGA looks forward to holding the 2nd Annual Powderpuff Tournament next spring. In addition to conducting several meetings that all focused on making PhilaU a more sustainable campus, SGA helped to allow the partnership with Philly Car Share, giving students access to environmentally friendly vehicles and places of interest. SGA executed many successes such as Trayless days at Ravenhill Dining Hall, the very first drafted Student Bill of Rights, an informative freshmen class survey, as well as discussions on extended Gutman library hours. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the upcoming semester.
